Ph.D., University of Pisa, Pisa, Italy, 2008.

Dr. Abd El-Fattah obtained his Ph.D., in Chemical Sciences from the Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry, Pisa University, Pisa, Italy in 2007. He used different methods to prepare nano copolymers for biomedical applications such as drug delivery and tissue engineering. In 2008, He was appointed as an assistant professor at the Materials Science Department, Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt. He got a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Fiber and Polymer Technology at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden in 2010. Through this period, He had the opportunity to sharpen his research capabilities by understanding novel approaches and used various techniques.

Dr. Abd El-Fattah has developed an active forum of research that dealt with various aspects of polymeric and ceramic nanomaterials and attracted several funded research projects dealing with the development of nanomaterials for drug delivery systems, and bone regeneration. He is jointly co-supervising 4 Ph.D and 12 M.Sc. students. Moreover, He organized and delivered various post-experience training courses for the industrial sector in Egypt dealing with biodegradable polymers for biomedical and environmental applications. Currently, He is an assistant professor, at the department of Chemistry, College of Science, University of Bahrain.
